If you hear something in the wall cavity, find small droppings or signs of gnawing, or indeed if you see a rat or a mouse, this means you could have the beginnings of an infestation. Rodents can breed very efficiently and sizable infestations can develop quickly from a single pair. Rodents only live up to a year but for 9 months of their lives they will have a litter every 24 to 28 days producing on average 8 young per litter.

Rodents are disease carriers - Weil’s disease, Tetanus, Salmonella and Rat Bite Fever. They spread disease through contaminating food stuff and structure which is then touched or eaten by humans or livestock.
