Rabbits can be a real nuisance, not only in the garden but on golf courses, bowling greens and farmland - indeed on any grass lands used commercially. If rabbits are present, you will generally see them - but watch out for other signs such as Burrows, Runs, Droppings, Grazed Vegetation.

Rabbits can be controlled using different methods - eradiction and prevention of damage. Each of these methods work well but habitat and surroundings can often favour one over the other.

Eradication can be shooting, gassing, snaring, drop trapping, live capture cage traps.

Prevention of damage is to keep the rabbits from entering your ground or also to protect trees and plants from being eaten. Methods used are wire netting fencing, electric fencing, use of tree guards.
